TDVA’s SCI Computer Lab

The TDVA and the Spinal Cord Injury Unit, Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Clinics created a small computer lab for in-patients and out-patients to have ready access to a PC for hands or hands free training using voice-recognition software.

TDVA has understood the need for a social connection and the importance of it. The computer lab has a DELL Desktop with Windows XP software, Open Office, Voice-Recognition Software, Job Resume Writing Program, Wi-Fi ready, Flat Screen Monitor, and Printer. Pictured is a spinal cord injured Veteran receiving voice-recognition training, the system you see in place has been upgraded so that it is more user friendly, specifically the height of the set up to allow for the larger chairs.
