39th National Veterans Wheelchair Games

TDVA Adaptive Sports Wheelchair Athletes attended the 39th National Veterans Wheelchair Games at Louisville, Kentucky, from 11–16 July, 2019. Over 600 athletes participated in 19 different sports events. Several members of the Texas Disabled Veterans Association earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals. Congratulations to our Veteran Athletes! Each year this event is held in a different city and state throughout the United States and is cosponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Next year the 40th National Veterans Wheelchair Games will be held in Portland, Oregon from July 3 –8, 2020. The Games will feature 20 events. If you are a wheelchair bound Veteran and wish to participate please contact your nearest Paralyzed Veterans of America Chapter office and/or the Department of Veterans Affairs Recreational Therapy Departments for additional information.
