TDVA’s Paralympic Athlete
Catherine “Kate” Callahan has been a member of the Paralympics National Team since August 2011. She competed in World Competition in January 2011 and earned 5th place in shot put and currently is ranked 3rd in the world for the discus, javelin, and shot put. Kate won 5 Gold Medals at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, 3 Gold Medals at the Endeavor Games, 2 Silver Medals at the US Nationals, 1 Bronze Medal at the Pan American Games. Kate is an 18 year disabled veteran who served with the Air Force and the Army. TDVA is a sponsor and she is currently on her way to the 2012 Paralympic Trials in London, for her quest of a Gold Medal. Go USA! Kate only keeps one medal from each competition and gives the rest of her medals to disabled kids to inspire them to keep working hard in life.
