Paying it Forward

TDVA was able, with the help of these very special people take the little bit of money that was given and bless over 550 Texas Veterans with comfort items. Pictured above center top row, DDS George Metz of Kendall Woods Dental 25 FM 3351 S Boerne, Texas and his staff was the driving force for this project.

Audie Murphy Veterans hospitals, Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services program has a need for Comfort Items that reaches hospitalized and homeless Veterans that are without by providing the basic hygiene items that we so often take for granted. DDS George Metz with his awesome staff matched our funding and was even able to convince his venders to give, tooth brushes, tooth paste, dental floss and tote bags. We at TDVA donated monies for the remainder items like razors, shampoo, and body wash This allows (Joyce Brown Chief of Volunteer Services) shown above with staff to then put her assets together and provide these items to the Veterans in need. With the cuts already affecting services at the VA we at TDVA applaud all those involved.
